2. Prohibited Activities and Behaviors

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination:

Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior toward staff or other users
Uploading or distributing malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
Impersonating other individuals, organizations, or CodeLanka Academy staff
Using automated systems, bots, or scraping tools to access our services

Sharing or reselling course materials, access credentials, or proprietary content
Attempting to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise our platform security
Engaging in fraudulent payment activities or chargebacks without valid reasons
Violating any applicable laws or regulations while using our services

3. Content Guidelines and Standards

All user-generated content must meet our community standards:

Professional Standards: Maintain professional, respectful communication in all interactions and submissions
Appropriate Content: Ensure all shared content is appropriate, legal, and relevant to educational purposes
Academic Integrity: Submit original work and properly cite all sources; plagiarism is strictly prohibited

4. Age Restrictions and Parental Consent

Access to our services is subject to age requirements:

Users must be at least 16 years of age to enroll in courses independently
Users aged 16-18 require verifiable parental or guardian consent for enrollment

No Guarantee of Outcomes: We do not guarantee specific career outcomes, job placement, salary increases, or skill mastery
Technical Availability: We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure operation of our platform
Content Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that all course content is error-free or complete

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited as follows:

Maximum Liability: Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for services in the 12 months preceding the claim
Excluded Damages: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

Business Losses: No liability for lost profits, business interruption, or loss of business opportunities
Data Loss: Limited liability for data loss or corruption, though we maintain regular backups

Indemnification Requirements

Legal Framework and Dispute Resolution

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Legal framework governing this agreement:

Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka
Jurisdiction: All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka
International Users: International users consent to Sri Lankan jurisdiction for all disputes related to our services
Language: English shall be the governing language for all legal proceedings and interpretations

Dispute Resolution Procedures

We encourage resolution of disputes through the following process:

Infrastructure failures, power outages, or internet disruptions
Government restrictions, sanctions, or regulatory changes
Other circumstances beyond reasonable control of either party

Agreement Integrity and Modifications

Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed severed from this agreement. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely approximates the intent of the original provision.

This severability clause ensures the overall agreement remains valid and enforceable even if specific clauses are challenged or found unenforceable.

Terms Modification Policy

We may modify these Terms and Conditions under the following conditions:
